Participatory Budgeting Youth Fellowship Program Intern and Fellow                              June 2017 - July 2018

  • Organize program logistics for yearlong youth program by facilitating sessions for 22 young adults and city council staff regarding concepts around participatory budgeting, youth-adult partnership, and leadership

  • Develop 10 months of curriculum with 4 person team

Research

Active Citizenship Through Socioscientfic Issues (ACTS)

This research project explores the way teaching socioscientific issues (SSI), informed by cross-cultural research, will develop high school students’ sense of civic obligation and political opinions. Through quantitative and qualitative inquiry, and drawing on past research about SSI and information about interdisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning, this project aims to uncover connections between learning about SSI and active citizenship.
